Another day another coffee! This week was Kat’s selection, a coffee trailer! She came across their Instagram page and thought it would be fun to try since we have never visited something like this before.

Native Coffee was founded two years ago by a husband and wife duo. “We wanted to reflect my indigenous culture (Xicana/ O’otham) within our business. A place for the people, by the people.”

They have a bit of a different take on coffee, staying close to their indigenous roots. You can see it come out not only in their drink names but in the different flavors as well!

Their trendy teal trailer is set up for a drive through style order. Their staff was so friendly and a huge part of the experience.

Kat selected the El Gallo, a horchata cold brew. It was sweet and smooth, perfect for people looking for that coffee kick without an overwhelming coffee flavor.

I picked the Big Wimpy, a horchata latte. This was my first time trying horchata and I was not disappointed! Their lattes are constructed upside down (the espresso is poured on top.) We believed there was a missed balance of the espresso to milk ratio in the latte. It was half espresso to half milk as opposed to the fourth espresso to three-fourths milk that traditionally come in a latte.

It was so much fun to try a coffee trailer this week but don’t take our word for it, visit them in Tolleson the next time you need a wonderful family experience.
